Quinn’s Favorite Books of 2017!!!
2017 was a FANASTIC reading year for me. My original reading goal was only for 80 books, but I ended with 155! I read some incredible books this year, so it was very difficult to narrow them down. I could easily have had a much longer list, but I really wanted to highlight my absolute favorites, so without further ado…..
This was a no brainer for me. Beard Science isn’t just a top read of 2017, it’s a top read OF ALL TIME!!!! It’s incredibly unique and I just fell completely in love with these characters. Jenn is an all-time favorite heroine of mine. Her character is heartwarming and fed my soul. Trust me, join in this bearded goodness!
Of course Mariana is on this list! It was a hard decision between Kulti and Wait for It. I adored both, but holy smokes, Reiner Kulti?!?!?! Delicious. If you’re still living under a rock and haven’t read this yet, drop what you’re doing and read it. Now. Stop reading, go read it, and then come back and finish reading my list!!
Samantha Young is one of my top 5 favorite authors. She’s also an insta-buy author, no matter the subject matter. She’s the type of author that takes a subject that I don’t like and makes me fall in love with it. Play On was heartbreakingly beautiful! 2017 was the year of Samantha Young, as you will see further down this list.
AHHHhhhhh!!!! If a book broke my heart and then put it back together, it made my list. I inhaled this book!!!!! Definitely the best of the series. I was not expecting Lance’s story to gut punch me like it did. It was incredible!! If you own the e-book, make sure to get the audio upgrade. Jacob Morgan definitely does Lance justice!
The Impossible Vastness of Us
There’s a reason that Samantha Young is the only author to make my list twice. Actually, there’s multiple reasons, but the main one is that she’s just an incredible writer! This book blew me away. I have a very soft spot for YA and am very picky with my YA authors. Do not hesitate to pick this up!!! India will be a forever favorite YA heroine. Go and meet her. You won’t regret it.
The Foxe and The Hound
Is there a favorites list out there without RS Grey?? There shouldn’t be, because I adore her. I loved this book. Super cute and funny, as per RS Grey’s usual. I loved Madeline’s kind heart. RS Grey writes fantastic friendships and it definitely is apparent in this one.
Until Friday Night
You guys. This series. Wow. This book!?! FANTASTIC!!!! Read it. That is all.
Why did it take me this long to get to this series??? I had heard such great things about Dearest Clementine, but I didn’t know what to expect for Finding Dandelion. Dani and Jax blew Clem and Gavin out of the water!! I was gushing about this book for weeks. In fact, I think that it’s time for a re-read of the whole series!
The Hard Count
I read some incredible YA books this year. The Hard Count is by far one of my all-time favorites. It had grit and glory. I’m a sucker for an unlikely hero story, and Nico was a fabulous hero. And don’t let Wil fool you, Nico is MINE!
I know, I know…I’m so behind on getting to this series you guys, but HOLY MOLY!!!! After reading Him and Us, I am totally on the M/M bandwagon! Wesmie for LIFE!
The Hating Game
Who didn’t adore this book? If you gave this book anything under a 4 star rating, then you had to be in a pretty crappy mood when you read it. This is enemies to lovers done to PERFECTION! This will be a re-read for years to come.
From Sand and Ash
This bad boy kicked off 2017 for me and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. So many laugh out loud moments!! If you haven’t given this a read, start off the new year right with this fun and sexy book by this great duo.
The Spiral Down
I never expected to have to come back on December 30th and change my favorites list with the last book that I read of the year, but here I am. The Spiral Down!!! You guys, so amazing! So sexy. So Sweet. Go read Wil’s review. It’s perfect!!
