Get ready for the darker and dirtier side of New Orleans with a brand new alpha romance from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.
New Orleans belongs to me. You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t. My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met. I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt. To have her in my debt. She doesn’t know she caught my attention. She should’ve been more careful. I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her. It’s time to collect what I’m owed. Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.
*Ruthless King is book 1 of the Mount Trilogy. Mount and Keira’s story is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2017 with Defiant Queen and Sinful Empire.*
What did I JUST read?
No. Really? WTF did I just read? Meghan DUG DEEP into the pits of her soul for this one, I can tell and you know what? I. FREAKING. LOVED. IT. If you’ve read any of Meghan’s books you know that she can deliciously alpha with ease but HOLY EFF can she anti-hero. I’m used to Meghan’s heroes being all alpha with a touch of swoon but she taps into something completely different here and hit it out of the proverbial park.
Mount was….he’s…..gaaaaaahhhh, I can’t even properly put him into words and he’s everything. Did I hate him? HELL NAH. OMG, what does that say about me?!?!?!? Meghan got me questioning my damn sanity and that my friends is what this reading thing is all about. Being whisked away into another realm, a completely different reality and enjoying every second of it and GOD did I. I’ve been taking my e-reader to the gym with me and I let a loud giggle slip and got some stares….hee hee. Whatever. If they only knew what I was reading at the time and OH. MY. GOD, I just can’t with her or Mount.
Keira. Good. LORT. All of Meghan’s heroine’s are NO damsels in distress. They hold their own. I know I sound like I’m comparing her characters but I’m not. My point in bringing up the differences is to help readers understand that this is a whole ‘nother side and level of Meghan’s writing as well as her characters, especially Keira. What you’re “used to” is definitely not what you’re going to get here. You’re going to get gritty and down right dirty in THE BEST way.
You all know how much I love secondary characters and all I’m going to say is that Meghan is so original and creative with her character names. I freaking love it. This one is her best yet and I DO NOT say that lightly. I actually kind of hate saying that because I love all of her work but this one is SO different but SO Meghan and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to fall in love with an dirty as sin anti-hero.
