A sexy new standalone from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.

When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy. Oops. My mistake. Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology. I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right? That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant. I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking. Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West. This was going to be interesting…

 REVIEW

Maybe I couldn’t get you out of my head because you were supposed to be there.”

I absolutely loved this book!!! I have to say, you can never go wrong with Vi Keeland. Never! So far every book of hers I’ve read I’ve absolutely loved and this is no exception!!!!! This one is funny, sweet, swoony and even have some twists and turns that you totally don’t expect. I was totally hooked from the beginning. This has got to be one of my favorite books from her.

“Not sure I’m capable of selfless. Spent most of my life on the -ish side of self, rather than the -less.”

If you’ve read the blurb, you kinda have an idea of what this is about. You definitely have an idea of how the first encounter between Caine and Rachel goes! She confuses him with someone else! Someone that was dating her best friend but turns out had a wife and kids. Anyway, this was super funny. The next morning she’s on her way to school (she’s a Grad Student) and not only is she late, she finds out Caine is her professor and she’s his TA! They have a ton of funny moments/encounters that I just loved.

“Earlier I told you I didn’t bite students.” He smiled, and I felt the wickedness from it shoot down to some interesting places. “I don’t. But I make no promises about not biting feisty TAs.”

I thought this would be a typical student/teacher romance, but it’s not, it’s so much more. Rachel has had a tough past and is such a hard-working strong girl. And Caine, he’s so freaking swoony. And well he also has a very interesting past that might even affect his future. This is told in dual POV but you also get some flashbacks of Caine’s past. And that twist! Totally didn’t see it coming! As always, Vi’s books are so well written and so well rounded. I’m definitely a huge fan. I absolutely recommend. I can’t wait for what she’ll bring us next!!!

“It’s us.”
“Us?”
“Together. It just works. I felt it the first night we met. Just didn’t want to accept it.”
“Do you accept it now?”
“I never really had a choice, Feisty.”
