Prequel to the USA TODAY BESTSELLER 'Happily Ever Ninja'
What do a cynical former Marine and a sheltered former Olympic contender have in common?
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
He has a girlfriend and she’s never been kissed.
He’s sullenly sarcastic and she’s earnestly empathetic.
He can’t stop thinking about her.
She knows she should keep her distance.
Nevertheless, when opposites attract the results may be unexpected, but they’re also undeniably magnetic.
This novella is the expanded origin story for Greg and Fiona. The first 16k words of this novella are from the short scenes included in 'Scenes from the City', which is no longer for sale.

REVIEW

I just got bitch slapped….by Penny Reid. I didn’t even see it coming. There was still 20% left and then what I thought was going to happen, TOTALLY did not happen!! And I loved it… completely.

I was leery about Fiona’s story since her and Greg had an established relationship, so I was happy to see that there was a prequel to Happily Ever Ninja. I’m totally invested in these two now!!

My heart is definitely for New Adult novels, especially in a college setting. Penny is more adult romance in my eyes, which I love too, but with currently binge reading this series, it was really refreshing to slip back into new adult territory before heading back into an adult romance.
