We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and I carried her off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after.
Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.
It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.
I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.
Two damaged people.
Countless secrets.
The fight of our lives.
We might be broken, but we’re not done.

I don’t care wtf I read the rest of the year. THIS. It’s the favorite. HANDS DOWN.

If you are not familiar with Meghan’s work, she specializes in bad ass heroine’s and swoon worthy alpha males. I’ve read all of the things by Meghan March and I love every single one but this, JESUS H. This one is nothing like she’s written. It’s a standalone but I want more. I finished this a few days ago and I. Want. More. I didn’t want it to end, when it did end I was lost for a bit, didn’t want to pick up another book.  I LOVE when books do that to you.  They make you feel hungover. You have NO idea how in love I am with this book.  Maybe you will once you read it but shit….I can’t stop thinking about how brilliant this was.

Kat and Dane always pop into my brain too, isn’t that crazy?  I’ll be doing random stuff around the house and will fight the urge to just look at this cover or read my favorite parts.  This book was my favorite of hers and I hate saying that because I love her work and all of her books.  But, I have to scream it from the rooftops. FAVORITE. If I could give it a million stars I would.  Their love story is one of change. By change, I mean they’ve lost their way, walls are built and they need to find each other again. I LOVE, LOVE the fact that Dane and Kat fight for their marriage. These two are everything and then some. I devoured this book. DEVOURED. I want more, I know, I know… I said that already.  If this ends up being your first Meghan book, buckle the f**k up and enjoy the ride that is a second shot at love. You MUST read this. MUST. I cannot stress enough how perfect this book is.

There are SO many reasons that I loved this book but the fact that these two are already married made me love it that much more.  Maybe because I am? Or maybe because lots of the things Dane says to Kat are things that my own husband says to me?  I don’t know what it was but all I know is that it was perfect. When I said this one is nothing like she’s written, it’s the truth.  Meghan has stretched her ability to tip of perfection and beyond achieved it with these two.  I love that as broken as they think they are they still fight, tooth and nail for their marriage.  Dane is unbelievably swoon-worthy and while he’s definitely an alpha male, I just didn’t see him that way here.  I feel weird even saying that but it’s like he NOT that way to Kat.  Just read it.  You’ll see. TRUST ME.

This book needs to be added to your collection of paperbacks and bumped up on your e-reader TBR list.  See for yourself why others are literally losing their minds over this book.  I hate that I’m only giving it 5 stars.  I’d give it a million if I could.  You’ll fall just as hard as I did for these two.

About Meghan March

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had.
