Happy New Year, Sisterhood! It’s my turn to share my favorites from last year.  I know, I’m a little late to this party but adulting sucks and we all got hit with a cold at once! Tis the season. 🙁

Anyway! Onto the more important part here…BOOKS!

I honestly don’t know where to start with this post.  I’ll start from the top left, yeah.  Let us do that shall we?

Making Faces by Amy Harmon– If you’ve not read this book or Amy, what are you waiting for? I’m kicking myself for waiting as long as I did to read her work. She’s an amazing storyteller and I’m a fan for life. Get on the Harmon bandwagon.  Hurry. GO.

Beneath These Shadows by Meghan March– If you follow our blog regularly you’ll know that Meghan is my go-to, I’ve read her books more than once.  All of them.  I will drop what I’m doing or reading to stop and start her new release, just how it is and I’m not even sorry. Shadows threw me back into the world of New Orleans and it was an amazing ride!

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover– If you’ve read it, need I say more?  It was perfection on so many levels.  It was deep, heartbreaking and so very real.  If you haven’t, I HIGHLY suggest that you go and grab this.

Raw by Belle Aurora– I’m learning very quickly that I really, really enjoy twisted and dark books.  I thought that certain niches in this genre would bother me and some do but this one, MY GOD. It was just the right amount of dark and dirty and I loved every second of this one.

Corrupt by Penelope Douglas– GOOD. LAWD. Can I just leave it at that? Just, seriously, go get it. And if you have read it….GOOD. LAWWWD.  I’ve never wanted to be in someone’s beautiful brain more than I wanted to be in Penelope’s.  There was a certain *cough cough* scene that I had to re-read THREE times.  *Fans self*

Born Sinner by SL Jennings– You guys. It’s Suicide Squad meets Angels and Demons.  This book is my wet dream come to freaking life.  Along with the dark and dirty, I’m a HUGE fan of paranormal.  There truly isn’t a genre that Syreeta cannot tackle.

Hero by Samantha Young– This was my first by this author and it will NOT be my last.  It did NOT disappoint. Believe me.

The Dirty Girl Duet by Meghan March– Are you shocked though? 🙂 Being thrown back into the Dirty world was fan-freaking-tastic.  I want more.  Meghan will always leave you wanting more.  It was dirty, it was funny, it was fantastic.

Retrieval/Transfer Duet by Aly Martinez– This needs to be made into a movie. STAT. So much is packed into these two books and it was an amazing read.  I devoured these books and it was written in a way that I was kept on my toes, like all the time.  I can’t wait to read more Aly!

That One Moment by Amy Daws– This book. *SIGH* This book has a special place in my heart.  It’s so very deep and just so very good.  If you’ve not read Amy Daws, you really, really need to.  She writes from a deep and beautiful place.

Stoned by Mandi Beck– This book had me at hello.  The story within was such a beautiful one to read about and a strong message.  Mandi conveys that message very well and with such ease.  You need to go get Stoned. 😉

Beneath These Lies by Meghan March– I’m not kidding with my Meghan love, it’s not obvious is it? Hee hee. Just go and get all of the Beneath books. Just, go. I’ll be here to talk about them when you’re done. 🙂

Last and certainly NOT least……

From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon– When my blogging partners and I brainstormed the favorites list, my response was, “From Sand and Ash.  That’s all I want on my list.”  Our review will be up soon on this beautifully perfect book but I need to say that EVERY SINGLE PERSON on the planet NEEDS to read this book. It is absolute perfection. If I could give this book 100 stars, by God, I would.  Hands down the #1 read of 2016 for me.

Go forth and get all of the things!!! We wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017 and we thank you for all of your support!
