Wild Abandon Christmas is a new Christmas novella by Jeannine Colette. It follows Nate and Crystal, the main characters of Wild Abandon as they spend the holidays in New York City. Nate and Crystal arrived in NYC for business, however Crystal has the perfect day planned for her and Nate, that is until someone shows up and is intent on keeping them apart. If you’ve read all of the Abandon books, then you might recognize this character. Our favorite villain vixen we love to hate is back. Ugh, I hate her, she needs to go away for good, lol!
This was a fast, short read. It was definitely ansgty, way angstier than I thought it would be, and also a bit emotional. Nothing wrong with that, it just surprised me that’s all. As with anything that Jeannine writes, I was totally hooked and devoured it. Jeannine is just so talented; her writing is just beautiful. And she also has this ability to pack a punch with these novellas where it feels like they’re complete stories and nothing is missing. And also, her descriptions of scenes and places are so vivid and amazing you just feel like you’re right there as everything happens. I truly love the interactions between Crystal and Nate, Olive Juice, and just wished they would’ve been together more throughout the story. Regardless I loved it, especially the ending. Oh, and I totally loved the cameos by my all-time favorite Abandon couple, Alexander and Emma!
Anyway, I love the Tellers and I’m happy they were able to overcome all these obstacles to be together and come out stronger in the end. This is definitely not a standalone and you should read Wild Abandon beforehand (I actually recommend you read Pure Abandon and Reckless Abandon as well cause they’re awesome). If you’re a fan of Wild Abandon, this one is a must read. And if you haven’t read a Jeannine Colette book yet, what are you waiting for? She’s awesome!
