A deliciously sexy enemies to lovers standalone coming this summer from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.
He’s so arrogant.
She’s so self-righteous.
I can’t stand him.
I want her.
He’s a distraction I don’t need.
She’ll say yes eventually because I’m not giving up.
Justine Porter is stuck between a rock and a stripper pole. She lost her law school scholarship, which means she has two choices to keep her life on track: strip for her tuition or tutor the most distractingly sexy guy in her class—the one she’s been turning down for two years straight. It should be an easy choice, but tutoring Ryker Grant could derail her plans to graduate with honors faster than two-for-one night at the Déjà Vu. Then again, topless has never really been her color.
She could take the easy road, just this once . . . but the deal has enough loopholes to trip anyone up.
Who knew they taught bad judgment in law school?
Meghan March can write a book about gardening for all I care and I’ll STILL stop whatever I am doing to read it. This book proof that Meghan can tackle any subject and do it with ease and perfection. I’ve read every one of her books and every time I THINK I have a handle on things, BAM! Nope, you’re wrong. I love simple stories but I’m also a fiend for really complex ones too, ones that make you think and try to figure it out. Here I am assuming that because I know her style that I have it figured out. Lesson here? Don’t assume.
Justine. She’s the poster child for the struggling college student and I LOVE her. She’s in a situation, one of those “Desperate times, desperate measures” sort of thing and her only two options are drop out or strip off her clothes for money. She’s got a lot to prove and quitting is NOT an option. When she’s presented with option #3… it’s one that definitely tests her. Justine is the epitome of discipline, well, when it comes to studying and working hard to graduate. It’s when Ryker pops back into her life that that discipline is thrown out the window.
Swoony, swoony Ryker. I want me a Ryker. He is hell bent on getting Justine to go out with him. The one shot he had, he blew until he finds an opportunity to get his second chance. Lawd, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate if I had to tutor Ryker. He’s a playboy, a sweet talker but also smart as hell, he just doesn’t apply himself which is unfortunate or is he? *Winks* There’s a method to his madness and I love that when he finally gets his second shot he does not mess it up.
Both Ryker and Justine’s growth is commendable. Ryker proves that he’s not “in it to win it” so to speak. He’s chasing permanence in Justine and the lengths he goes to prove that is panty-melting. Sidenote, I’m in love with ALL of Meghan’s secondary characters. The way that she writes her bff’s makes me thankful that I have mine and that they are as fierce and loyal as hers.
Bravo Miss March! I cannot wait to get this beautiful baby on my book shelf!
