From the author of the Capital Confessions Novels comes the first in the steamy Wild Aces Romance series.

One scorching weekend becomes an undeniable chemistry that they can’t leave in Vegas. But the long distance relationship and their different lives threaten to ground their romance. And when the dangers of Noah’s job become all too real, Jordan learns being with a fighter pilot means risking it all for a shot at love…
I freaking loved this book! This book was all the things I love in my books rolled into one awesome book. Military romance…check! Hot alpha…check! Strong, smart and funny heroine…check! Mature people talking things out instead of stupid drama…check! Well-developed characters…check! Swoony romance and hot scenes…check! See, told you I freaking loved it.
This is the first book of Chanel Cleeton I’ve read but I’ve always heard wonderful things about her books, so I wasn’t surprised I loved it. And come on, if you grew up in the 80s like I did, you know how hot fighter pilots are, hello Top Gun! (Yep, had to go there, don’t tell Noah)
“Love was scary enough. Loving a military man was something else entirely.”
Anyway, what can I say about Fly With Me. It’s Noah and Jordan’s story and the first book in a new series of standalones about an Air Force fighter pilot squadron called the Wild Aces. Jordan is tired of dating losers and is feeling like life is passing by and that since she’s now in her 30s she should be settling down. Little does she know that when she goes to Vegas for her younger sister’s bachelorette party, her life will totally change. Noah is a career military guy, Air Force Academy graduate, fighter pilot, he’s practically married to the military, he says nothing can ever compete with flying and has no expectations of ever changing that…until he meets Jordan in Vegas.
What happens next is the definition of whirlwind romance, the attraction is amazing, the chemistry is undeniable, the hotness is out of control. A one night stand turns into a weekend, a weekend turns into a long distance relationship and then everything else. I was thrilled the entire time.
“Whatever the question, this was the answer. It wasn’t just a kiss—I’d had good kisses before him. It was the rightness of it. The inaudible click that I felt between us. It was something I hadn’t found before and it was the thing that kept me holding on, even as I wondered if I was nuts for doing so.”
I loved Jordan so much! She made the book for me, she was so funny, so witty and so smart. And she was so strong when everyone around her need her the most. It was hard not to fall in love with her and to witness the wait Noah falls for her. Simply Beautiful! Noah was equally awesome, loved everything about him, his love for Jordan, for his fellow teammates and all of the struggles that come when you have to choose between career and love. The book is told in dual POV so you get to experience both sides of the story, which I loved.
The book is not just a fluffy love story, it is also very real. You get to witness the struggle of having a relationship with someone in the military and the harsh reality of how it could turn your life upside down and how everything could end up in a second. The characters deal with a lot of heartache and loss, just like real life, but in the end they come out stronger than ever.
“I was thirty years old. I’d spent most of my teen years and adult life looking for love while simultaneously guarding my heart, calculating risks, approaching love like it was something I could ensure. And here it was. Bigger than me, than my fears, than anything. There was no guarding against this. No insurance I could take out that would protect me. This was skydiving, free fall, jumping off the cliff with no idea if there were rocks below or how deep the water was.”
Like I said before, I freaking loved the book, it was amazing. I loved that these were mature, adult characters that were desperately trying to make this relationship work without any unnecessary drama. This is something nearly impossible to find in books these days. I also loved the other guys in the squadron so I’m hoping I get to read their book, especially Thor’s and Easy’s really, really soon! I totally recommend this one.
“It was messy, and chaotic, and unexpectedly amazing.
It was perfect.
It was us.”
