From NYT Bestseller Alessandra Torre...The sexy serial that exploded on is now a full-length, standalone novel.
Chloe Madison. That’s me. A former NYU princess who just fell from grace, right off my pampered Manhattan throne and onto the unforgiving steps of Nicole Brantley, socialite and queen bitch. Now, I walk her dog and mix her smoothies. Try to navigate my own problems while fixing all of hers.
I want what every New York girl wants. A career, an apartment, and true love, preferably in a smoking hot package.
It turns out I’ll have to fight for all of it.

This was such a fantastic read. I think this is my favorite Alessandra Torre book so far even though it’s a departure from the Alessandra Torre books I’ve read in the past. Chloe’s journey is so great.

The book revolves around Chloe Madison, a rich girl from Florida that loves in New York and worries about nothing, until her life is turned upside down. Chloe’s parents get caught in a Ponzi scheme and Chloe instantly looses everything she thought mattered in life and she’s left with nothing. Chloe goes from riches to rags and has to learn how to survive. Now, usually books about rich, spoiled girls turn me off if many ways. But not this one. Chloe is so likeable and so not a cliché and that is a testament to Alessandra’s great writing.

This is not your typical romance, it reads a lot like chick-lit. This is more about Chloe’s journey and her survival. Her journey is full of twists and turns and there’s a lot of funny moments along the way. Lots of really interesting characters are introduced and you get hooked on Chloe’s story since the beginning. If you’re wondering if there’s a hero, yes, there is, an awesome, swoony, manly man hero that you will absolutely love! Now, for me, part of the fun was trying to figure out who the hero was because along the journey, there are a few candidates, so I won’t spoil that for you cause it’s best if you read it for yourself!

I also loved her friends, they are so loyal and so much fun, that aspect of the story reminded me of Sex and the City, which I love. I also loved the funny chapter titles, the format and the cute Instagram posts. Overall, I adored this book. It’s light fun, sweet and swoony and I totally recommend it!
