Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong? Nothing at all.
NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.
Casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to gets pucked over.
Oh My God!!! Helena, has done it again my friends! You think to yourself “How will she top the last book?” and she always does. This book gave me all the feels. I bet you’re thinking “yeah right!” This is Pucked Over we’re talking about. It’s funny and sweet, but not really that deep. You would be wrong to assume that. I legit cried in 2 specific parts in this book. Helena really did a fantastic job with this one!
We got to know Randy and Lily in Pucked Up. Randy “Balls” Ballistic is Buck’s bestie and Lily is Sunny’s bestie. They had their “fling” at Alex’s cabin and then Lily went cray cray on Randy near the end of Pucked Up. Pucked Over starts right after the fundraiser game that was in the epilogue of Pucked Up. She can’t get Randy out of her mind and Randy can’t get Lily out of his. They meet up in a bathroom and ladies… let me just say that fireworks go off. We are beyond sparks! Their chemistry is off the charts and the sex in this book will make you HOT!!!
I will tell you, Lily had to redeem herself a little in this book for me. I didn’t care for her in Pucked Up. She was with Benji and all they did was fight, she was constantly telling Sunny what she should do in her relationship with Buck and then she jumps on Randy the first chance she gets and then goes crazy on him. Writing all over his clothes and underwear with a sharpie. Well, she fully redeemed herself. I LOVED her!!! She was so funny and snarky. Her banter with Randy was awesome! Once you get to know her you realize how insecure she really is and how amazing Randy is for being exactly what she needs. I would say she is the most like Violet except waaay toned down. Violet is her own brand. lol. Lily is my favorite heroine in this series!
Randy…. Randy was amazing! From his honey colored eyes, his beard (I’m a sucker for a beard) his little man bun, and his tattooed sleeve *sigh* He was sex on 2 legs! Not only was he smoking hot, but he was genuinely a good guy. He was a good friend, a good teammate, he cared about the people around him, and he was an amazing lover. Randy had all the qualities you look for in a good Hero. There were things in his story that really touched me. The stuff he went through… I can’t give specifics, but God I’m so glad that was his story. Once he let Lily fully see him… It was powerful! This is one of those tearful moments I had. That whole scene was beautiful. Alex Waters, I love you, but Randy just stole your #1 spot. I’m sorry! He has everything that makes me weak in the knees.
I also loved that in this book the whole gang is together. We see Violet being Violet, she is super stressed over wedding planning and poor Alex is just trying to keep up, lol. Miller and Sunny could not be any cuter! They are so perfect for each other. We get to see Charlene and Darren! I was really excited to see them in this one. I really want their story *wink wink* and the crazy parents were in abundance from all sides. I loved seeing everyone together.
This is by far my favorite of the series! Pucked is right behind them followed by Pucked Up. There was just something about this one. It was unexpected. I didn’t think it would affect me the way it did. OH!!! and I need a minute to fangirl! View Spoiler » My Hayden made an appearance in this book! I was so excited I got teary-eyed from excitement, lol. So Randy is at the bar after a game and there is a puck bunny trying to rub up on him. She asks him about his tattoos and where he got it done? His reply “this place in downtown Chicago.” She’s like I have friends in Chicago! Yada yada what’s the place called? Do you know what his reply is!??? “Inked Armor. I see this guy Hayden. He’s a master artist. Moody as fuck, but his work is amazing.” *sigh* i miss that tattooed moody guy so fucking much!!! « Hide Spoiler I can’t wait to see what comes from you next, Helena!
