A sweet category romance from Entangled's Bliss imprint...Revenge was never this much fun...When Rochelle Ransom auditioned for the dating show Luring Love, she had big plans for winning the prize money to help her favorite charity-and if she won the hot bachelor's heart, even better. But at the last minute she finds out the hot bachelor is her ex-boyfriend, Grant Drake. Desperate to keep her distance from him, she'll do anything-and everything-to get voted off. Years ago, Rochelle broke Grant's heart, and he's out for revenge. There's no way he'll vote her off. After all, vengeance is a dish best served red-hot...and on live television. When her hilarious antics to get kicked off the show escalate, Grant's reminded why he fell in love with her the first time. Now he isn't sure which might be more fun... Seeing how far Rochelle is willing to go to get away or how far he will to keep her forever.
How to Lose a Bachelor is a fast, fun read. It’s a witty take on Bachelor-type reality shows and it sure does deliver. I’m not a huge fan of The Bachelor, but I definitely watch from time to time. I also love the show UnReal on Lifetime, which is also a satire of those types of reality show. Needless to say, I laughed a lot.
Rochelle is a successful attorney that decides to audition for the show “Luring Love” in order to win the grand prize and give it to a charity that is near and dear to her heart. Grant “The Bachelor” is a successful tactical consultant that decides to go on the show because his friend is the host. Well it turns out Rochelle and Grant have a lot of history together and at some point thought of each other as “the one” so imagine their surprise when they find each other in the show!
I hate to spoil books so I won’t go into details, but this book is hilarious. Rochelle and Grant are each other matches without a doubt. Rochelle’s attempts to get kicked out and Grant’s antics to keep her there for payback were entertaining, kept me laughing the entire time. There’s also many sweet moments throughout the book as the pair reconnect with each other and fall back in love. This book was funny, smart and witty and really low in the angst and drama. This is my first Anna Banks book but it definitely won’t be my last. Totally recommend if you’re looking for a fast, fun read!
