Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.
Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.
Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he's going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

This is the second standalone in the Pucked series. In Pucked, we get introduced to Miller “Buck” Butterson, who is Violet’s step brother and then we meet Sunny, who is Alex’s sister. They start their relationship in Pucked, but we as readers don’t know much about it, besides that it makes Alex mad (hypocrite much Alex?).
I was so excited to start this book because I’m a HUGE lover of Pucked, and I couldn’t wait to get to know Miller and Sunny better. The Violet and Miller banter was hilarious!!!

“Not the kind that might make Alex try to break your dick off, I hope.”

“Pfft. Waters couldn’t break my dick off if he tried. It’s made of straight magic, like a unicorn horn. Except not sharp. And made of flesh instead of whatever mythical substance unicorn horns are made of. But it’s unbreakable.”

deficenciesI absolutely fell in love with Miller!!! He is a lot different than we are lead to believe through Violet’s POV. He is sweet and charming and bless his heart… he has the worst luck EVER! No matter how hard he tried, something always went wrong in his plans. One thing that always got in his way was his Dyslexia. This also made me love him even more. My Dad is Dyslexic, and I know what a struggle it can be. It makes everyday life and simple tasks; like following directions to somewhere, writing a phone number down, reading anything at all, so much more difficult. So, my heart broke for Miller. No matter how hard he tried his Dyslexia kept getting in his way, BUT he didn’t let it stop him… it just put some road blocks in the way. This man is a sweet talker! He also has the moves in the bedroom! #bunchmox anyone?! *winky face*

“She’s so wet and hot and soft. Holy chocolate-covered Jesus popsicles, I want to get in there so bad.”

Sunny Sunshine (Miller’s cute name for her), is pretty great. She is a new age hippie. She loves Yoga and Nature, she is a Vegan (she doesn’t eat anything that comes from a face) and she is rainbows and sunshine! She is NOT perfect. She is insecure when it comes to Miller’s past and the puck bunnies. The thing for me that was Sunny’s biggest downfall, was that she let everyone else mess with her view of Miller. All of those people just knew the manwhore puck bunny chaser that he used to be. They didn’t see the sweet caring guy that he was to Sunny now. So as you can guess… this causes a few problems.

“Rain clouds roll in, blocking out the sun. My chest feels like someone punched a hole in it as the trailer disappears around the corner with my Sunshine.”

I LOVED this book!!! We got to see a different side of Miller and got to know Sunny. I also think that through this book Violet matured and she was really there for Miller when he needed her. I loved seeing their relationship get stronger. Now, I will say that if I didn’t already love Alex… I might hate him a little in this book. He is so over protective and he overreacts to the point of ridiculousness! I kept trying to see it from is POV… but yeah, he was over the top. This book is so funny and smoking hot!!! If you loved Pucked, you are going to love Pucked Up!!! I can’t wait to see what couple will be in Pucked Over! I have a few guesses, but we will see!

PS-I love the look of your blog. Do you use the UBB plug in? I love how your picture, book info, and synopsis looks! Having the Synopsis wrap around with the background color is great!!! Love it!
